is a Greek word meaning "when all things come together." These are moments that transcend time, stirring emotions and realities to cause decisive action. These are moments that alter destiny.

kairos hollywood...

is a Jesus community in East Hollywood committed to worship, community, and service. We are a missional church, focused on church planting. Planted in 2002, we desire to see missional communities thrive and reproduce in Los Angeles and beyond. kairos hollywood is sisters with kairos westwood and kairos antelope valley, part of kairos los angeles and the Ecclesia Network, and the Missio Alliance.

Kairos hollywood could be considered a "missional church," a "3DM church," or an "emerging church;" yet we feel these labels aren't fully descriptive, and that we can be best known through experience. We center ourselves around our vision, values, and expressions of God's Kingdom. See the summary of each below or visit one of our expressions to find out and experience more.

You are a child of God, called to community, for the sake of the city.

Kairos cherishes its relationships with others, and there are a few we would like to highlight.

At kairos, we attempt to be humble in our theology and in stating “what we believe,” as our knowledge of God and our understanding of the love of Jesus Christ is always growing.

We value the ancient roots of our faith, and stand together with Christians everywhere across the centuries that have embraced the Apostle's Creed and the Nicene Creed.

At kairos hollywood, we feel we can be best known through experience. We center ourselves around our vision, values, and expressions of God's Kingdom.

We have experienced the overflowing grace of God, washing clean our deep wounds, our track records, and our shame. It is from undeserved generosity that we are generous - and return our gifts, time, and finances back into God’s Kingdom.
